GEL Discussion of Human Subjects Research
November 5, 2019 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Dear Members of the Rutgers-Newark Community,
On Tuesday, November 5, the Rutgers University – Newark Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) will host a discussion of Human Subjects Research lead by Carlotta Rodriguez, MS, CIP, CHRC, Director, Institutional Review Board (IRB)-Newark and Letitia Dean, MPA, CRA, Assistant Director, Office of Research and Sponsored Programs.
Understanding when and how to work IRB and the eIRB system will support the submission of strong proposals and compliant award activities. Human Subject Research includes observational studies, interview or survey studies, group comparison studies, test development and interventional research, and may also include program evaluation. This would be an excellent opportunity to have your questions and concerns addressed.
The meeting is part of the Gather, Eat, and Learn (GEL) initiative of the Research Office, which is a forum for informal discussion, over lunch, on topics related to sponsored projects administration (pre/post award and compliance). We will begin at 12:00 noon in Blumenthal Hall, Room 201.
So that we have an accurate count for lunches, please RSVP to Ms. Lisa Condobery (lisaj@newark.rutgers.edu) and include “GEL meeting” in the subject line. If you have a topic area that you would like to discuss at the meeting, please include a brief description in your response email.
We look forward to learning from you.
With best regards,
Piotr Piotrowiak
Senior Vice Chancellor for Research and Collaborations
